Ighodalo urges govt to tackle insecurity

The Senior Pastor Trinity House, Ituah Ighodalo, has said that Nigeria will be great again “if we have right leaders who will implement good policies faithfully.”

He also urged the federal government to tackle the current spate of kidnapping and general insecurity in the country to allow Nigerians to be more productive.

Speaking to journalists on the forthcoming event of the church, ‘Honour Nigeria Awards’ and ‘Trinity Leadership Conference’, in Lagos yesterday, Ighodalo stated that the event is to honour great Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various fields and to encourage people to do more.

“On Saturday October 12, this year, we are going to be calling our youths in national leadership. We want to ask them to get involved. As we move towards 2023, we must ensure that the right people lead us. The challenge with Nigeria is that we don’t have the right kind of leaders in government. Every Nigerian should engage the leadership.’

if you don’t engage, then you have no right to criticise,” he declared.

He claimed that the country’s security architecture is the way it is because “security agencies are poorly funded and equipped.”

He advised President Muhammadu Buhari to follow the counsel of the new Economic Advisory Council. This, he said, would revamp the nation’s economy, enthusing that “one hundred percent employment is possible because we have so many untapped resources.”
