In a statement issued on Friday, the Chairman of the Abia State Civil Service Commission, Pastor Eno Eze, said, “The attention of the Abia State Civil Service Commission has been drawn to a fake recruitment advertisement currently circulating on various social media platforms, claiming that the Commission is recruiting for multiple positions in the State Civil Service.

“The general public is hereby informed that this advertisement is FALSE and should be disregarded in its entirety”.

She clarified that the Abia State Civil Service Commission is not conducting any general recruitment exercise at the moment, stating, “The only recruitment portal currently open is for the recruitment of Medical Doctors and Hospital-Based Consultants as officially approved by the Government. No applications are being received for any other cadre at this time”.

She advised members of the public to rely only on official announcements issued by the Abia State Civil Service Commission through its verified communication channels and official website.

The Commission, she said, regrets any inconvenience caused by the misleading publication and urged the public to disregard it.

“Anyone in possession of the fake advertisement is encouraged to stop circulating it”, she warned.
