Gov Idris swears four new high court judges in Kebbi

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State on Friday administered oath of office on four new high court judges and two new khadis in the state.

Speaking shortly after the swearing in, he approved N300 million for the procurement of new vehicles for the new judges and khadis.

Nasir stated that the welfare of judiciary staff is paramount to his administration, just as he charged the new judicial officers to live above board by being fair to all manner of people in the discharge of their duties.

Muhammad Nuradeen Abdulrahman, a lawyer, was among the four new high court judges who took the oath on Friday.

He stressed that before his appointment, he was a just and fearless lawyer who always stood by the truth no matter whose ox is gored.

In attendance at the swearing in ceremony were top judicial officers and politicians in the state.

Governor Idris similarly flagged off national Quranic recitation competition at the convocation ground of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi.
