Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi, has revealed that veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo, helped him secure his first major break in the movie industry.
It was reported that the thespian, in a recent episode of the ‘Nollywood Hardcore’ podcast, said his resemblance to Hilda earned him the movie role.
He said, “Back to the story of how I got my first movie role. I was at an audition and I started hearing people calling me from afar. I approached. Before I could get close to them, Hilda Dokubo said, ‘This young boy looks like me. He can play my brother.’
“That was how I finally got my first role after three years and more than 1000 auditions. I didn’t even audition for it.”
