Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Sunday joined well wishers across the country to extol the leadership qualities of the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun,who turned 80 on Sunday
Akeredolu described the former governor of Edo State as an enigmatic leader with inviolably unassailable leadership qualities whose life is a study to all.
The governor, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant(SSA) on Media and Publicity, Ojo Oyewamide, said “history preserves the memories of men and women of exemplary courage and impeccable character just as a great achiever is not considered important, solely on the basis of material acquisition.
“The immeasurable virtues and the strong contents of character as embedded in Oyegun, are what announce the real achiever Oyegun’s has been a life of selfless, dedicated and uncompromising service to humanity.
“Therefore, as Chief John Odigie-Oyegun attains the age of 80 years on earth,Akeredolu joins numerous other Nigerians to celebrate this enigma of note. Relishing that Oyegun still bubbles with good health, radiating the rare gift of contentment”.
The governor said he was enthralled by the rare qualities of the man he described as “an uncommon gift to Nigeria”.
