UNCLAD – The Verisimilitude of Desire. A NEW REALITY TELEVISION SERIES

By; Sam Idiagbonya

There are habits that are only echoed in whispers, addictions that no one dares to talk about. Characters formed over the years that are major determinant of people’s essence, identities that no one wants the other to meet. Yet, it’s who they are. We are forced to ask then; what is bad and what is good? All the so called good is so hard to follow. For evil is alluring, everything else seems hollow. To some, good is an ideal, to others, it’s just a notion, it’s just as good as bad. When all the lines slowly blurs, these false notions come “Unclad”

The urge to touch, the urge to tuck, the urge to sniff, the urge to watch, the urge to suck, the urge to partake, the urge to steal, the urging urges if not curtailed brews an act which eventually becomes a Habit, it becomes character if left unchecked, and all people do is to hide behind exaggerated moral sanctity with a buffeted soul.

These habits are gradually becoming an ideal, morality is now relative, depending on whose opinion or worldview we are listening to. Different divides have their opinion on this character ideal, some believes it’s personal, other like mind are forming a community and what was once sacred is now profane, and what was once profane is now ideal, a new world is growing in the dark, an army is gathering in the silence of the night, no one wants to talk about it, yet we all know, others are generals in this army, others are recruits, no open recruitment, the criterion often times is deep cited in perversion, urge or just curiosity.

The world is changing, the line between right and wrong is almost non-existent, the heart swings back and forth between need for routine and urge to run, what was once abhorred is now the new normal, change though is inevitable, progression is a choice. The veil is torn, the once rejected are now dictating the cultures of our race, setting legacies for generation unborn.

Secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places, three may keep a secret if two of them are dead, but these secrets are no longer secrets, it’s a movement, a dictate of our character arch, no one wants to talk about them but someone should, we must search our souls if we are victors or victims, or products of our nurture. Who dares walks on the path forgotten by foot, who dares boldly talk about our inner wishes or fantasies? Who dares to dare?  The answer is here. This led to the advent of the Television reality talk show series – “UNCLAD” Anchored by Regina Obiuwevbi popularly known as ‘Tutu’ and Tonye Rowland McDuke, also known as ‘Tjay’ produced and written by Sam Idiagbonya.
